|Gloria Fraser has been helping people create more satisfying relationships for more than 30 years- with spouses, children, parents, bosses and more. But the most important relationship is the one with yourself. Sadly, most of us repeat negative messages from our parents with our own internal voices. It is important to speak to ourselves with understanding, compassion, encouragement, often using the messages we give to other people, but not ourselves.
A solution oriented therapist, Gloria focuses on the problems that brings you to therapy and she works to find solutions in a timely fashion. People ask: what is your orientation? She calls on a variety of approaches in her toolbox, including psychoanalytic, family systems, cognitive behavioral, emotionally focused, psychodramatic and narrative. She fashions the approach that will be most helpful to the particular person and their challenges. Actively engaging with clients, Gloria collaborates with them using her knowledge with the clients' expertise on their own situation. Through long years of experience, she deals with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, LGBTQ issues, sexual dysfunction, couple therapy, separation and divorce, trauma and self esteem.
Gloria Fraser is in solo private practice via telehealth and in San Francisco and San Rafael.
